Charles and Ghost travel to England. Charles is devastated when he learns of the death of a loved one. Reluctantly, Bud Bulger and one of his engineers travel to England with Charles and Ghost to understand how Charles wants his new winery constructed. Charles is forced to make a few changes, but he is pleased with the way the vineyards and orchards have matured. Charles arranges to have excess grapevines and fruit trees shipped to America and then transported to California. Upon returning to America, Charles faces some problems. Charles is suspected of smuggling Heroin and is held while his crates are examined. Charles begins buying equipment and horses for the Vallejo operation, and Ghost runs into a problem with an employee and is forced to take a stand. Ghost has a vision of the future and is shocked to meet a girl he had seen in it. However, the girl’s mother doesn’t want her daughter to have anything to do with an Indian.
