This edition of Storm Warrior’s life is filled with action and surprising events. Charles pressures Judith into selling the bank. He rides into town to talk to Matt, Judith’s son, who is running the bank, and finds the Irish Mob in the office pressuring Matt to sell the bank to them for tenth of its value. The mob sets in motion plans to eliminate Charles and his entire family after he kicks them out of the bank. Charles travels to Denver to accompany the horses and his trainers to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby. While in Cincinnati, awaiting the train to take them to Louisville, Charles encounters a man trying to steal Blitz, his world champion triple crown winner, and vengeance is set in motion when Charles assaults him. A hired killer contacts Charles, and Charles misreads him at first and is totally confused when the hired assassin saves Charles’s and Judith’s lives. Charles begins construction in New Orleans and is attacked by a mobster who had, at one time, owned the building that Charles was destroying. The gangster shoots him, Charles returns fire and kills one of the top mobsters in New Orleans.
