Charles is concerned when he discovers that something has happened to his beer, causing people to become sick. An investigation uncovers the cause of the problem, and Charles seeks the help of the Philadelphia police to make the arrest. Charles is concerned when the daughter of a crime boss is discovered in Philadelphia and is planning to kill him and his family. With the help of Charles’ attorney, plans are made to kill the woman responsible for the planned killing of Charles and his family. Charles and his companion, Cedric, travel to New York to order a piano for his new Reno hotel. While in New York, they discover that the daughter of the crime boss managed to escape, and one of Cedric’s close friends is murdered. Charles decides to settle things himself with Cedric’s help. Charles travels to Reno and encounters problems with the sheriff and his crooked brother-in-law, who is the mayor and married to the sheriff’s sister. The mayor hires a hired gun to come to Reno and dispose of Charles. U.S. Marshals are waiting for the hired gun, and the arrest ends in a shootout. Charles is forced to deal with an old mountain man who claims ownership of the 10,800 acres that Charles had just purchased from the land office. Cedric falls in love with a gal in Reno and decides to call it home, leaving Charles to travel alone once again.
