Charles and Judith’s lives level out, and Charles prepares his children to take over in his absence. Charles is notified that Doctor Connor Godfrey has visited the Denver Hospital and has spoken to Doctor Green. Spending the winter at home was relaxing for Charles, and in the spring, he tried to convince Judith to accompany him and asked George and Coughing Crow to join them in England. George’s health has not been good, and he believes this may be his last chance to visit his homeland, but he is too sick to make the trip. Charles’ trip to England ends in a major purchase, and he returns to America with a son of George that he has never seen.
