In Denver when Ike Tolby's family arrives asking about Cole Tolby and his mother, only to be stunned seeing Ike now wearing a U.S. Deputy Marshal badge. Meanwhile, a family shows up claiming they bought land in a valley that turns out to belong to Hunt, prompting his trip to Michigan to track down the con man selling his property with forged deeds.

Fireworks were promised when they saw Ike Tolby walking across the street with a U.S. Deputy Marshal badge pinned to his shirt. A family arrives in Denver searching for a property they had bought from the owner in Michigan. After examining the sales contract, the family is informed that the valley belongs to U.S. Marshal Huntley Porter. Hunt is angry and travels to Michigan to find the man selling his property with fake deeds.
